Why carpet cleaning in Wellington is better for your carpets

There are various myths about carpet cleaning Wellington that have remained over the years, in spite of the development in modern technology. Here are some of the common myths along with the reasons why they are not applicable today.

Myth 1: Wait as long as possible to clean the carpet as the more you clean it, the faster it gets dirty

Not true as dirt is abrasive. So every time you step on the carpet, the dirt gets grounded into the carpet fibers, and thereby damaging the carpet. A dirty carpet will require replacing before a clean carpet will. Just vacuuming won’t keep the carpet free from grease and fine grains that is conducive to depreciation of the carpet.

Myth 2: You only have to clean a carpet when it looks untidy

Not exactly!  You have to wash the clothes once they are worn out, although they look clean. The same principle is applicable on carpets also. Air contains hundreds of other chemicals, car exhaust fumes, cigarette smoke, air pollution, bacteria, fungi and pollens. Your shoes, clothing, skin and hair can transport these from outdoors to land on your carpet.

Breathing problems and allergies can be caused by chemicals, fungi and pollens in your carpet.

Myth 3: All cleaning techniques deliver the same result

There are two basic methods, hot water extraction or dry cleaning.

With dry foam, your carpet is shampooed and permitted to dry, followed by a vacuuming to remove the foam and any accumulated dirt. This old fashioned technique is least efficient and may leave a soil enticing residue in the carpet.

The dry chemical technique is just like dry foam but rotary equipment is fitted with a cloth to rub the carpet and absorb the dirt. It is just like someone using a towel and a spot cleaner but on a bigger scale. This technique also fails to accomplish a deep clean and may also damage the carpet fibers.

These dry cleaning techniques can be sufficient for maintaining slightly soiled carpets.

The dry compound technique deploys an absorbent compound over the carpet, which is then brushed into the carpet fibers by machine to absorb the dirt into the blend. When dry, a vacuum is utilized to remove the compound, just like the dry foam technique but much more efficient in removing residues and dirt.

Sadly, there are many cleaners offering carpet and apartment cleaning Wellington that are inexperienced or don’t take pride in their work. Keep in mind to use a reputed cleaning company.
